When a binder is sitting on a shelf, its spine is the only way to know what’s inside. With these easy steps, you’ll be able to create binder spine inserts that are easy to identify and so enticing, that the binder won’t sit on that shelf for long. Follow these simple steps to create binder spine inserts using Avery Design & Print with no downloads required.
Step 1: Start New Project
Go to Avery Design & Print. Click on Create Project By Product Type to get started. Under Product Category, select Binders, then under Product Number, select the 00000 – Binder Spine inserts for the width of your binders. Then click Next.
Step 2: Choose a Template
You’ll find a variety of options to choose from. Click on the template you want to use, then click Next.
Step 3: Customize
Customize your spine inserts by replacing the placeholder text with your information. You can also replace the placeholder graphic by importing your own or selecting from our gallery. Then click Next.
Step 4: Format
You can also change the font style, size, color, and alignment of your text.
Step 5: Preview
Review your creation. If you need to add or make any changes, click either Edit Your Content or click Change Font and Style. When you’re ready to print, click Next.
Step 6: View instructions & print
Before you print, we recommend that you click View Instructions first. When you’re done, click Print Your Project.
Step 7: Save
After you print, click Next and click the Save Your Project. Your project will be saved in the Avery Design & Print format. This allows you to open and edit the project in the future using Avery Design & Print. If you are renaming the project when saving, be sure to include .avery at the end of the new file name.
