As an oncology nurse, Ashley Cummings saw the toll that cancer treatments took on her patients’ skin. Many were left with extreme dryness and irritation—but the products available were full of toxic ingredients, some even linked to cancer.
That’s when Ashley decided to create a better option. In 2020, she launched natural ASH, a line of non-toxic, deeply moisturizing body butters designed with sensitive skin in mind. A recent grant is helping natural ASH move forward, but marketing resources and outreach remain key needs as the brand grows. Still, she’s optimistic—and focused on expanding her customer base while continuing to serve her loyal following.
