We built our trusted reputation by offering superior quality labels and cards that you can easily design and print yourself. The company’s knowledge and experience in printing products and self-adhesive labels are unmatched. We have decades of research and testing on materials, adhesives, printers, inks, and design software behind our products.
We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers and meeting their needs. Many of our customers are busy professionals or entrepreneurs focused on their businesses. They don’t have time to print their labels or to run to a print shop and wait weeks to receive them. They want online convenience.
Some other customers wanted more premium, professional labels, and cards in materials and finishes that aren’t available on printable labels. They wanted custom labels that would really make their products stand out. And some customers like printing their own labels but when they need larger quantities they want a less expensive solution.
In short, they wanted us to print their labels and stickers for them. They were looking for a trusted printing company that offered full-service online printing.
So in an effort to give our customers the flexibility they wanted, Avery launched WePrint, our online custom printing service. And that is how our online custom printing service began in the fall of 2019.
Building a new business model
The time for launching an online printing service was perfect. More and more people were getting comfortable buying custom products online, and the market became a logical next step. But launching a direct-to-consumer business required Avery to create an entirely new business model within itself. Not to mention building a web-to-print business from the ground up.
Avery set up a small and energetic, entrepreneurial-minded team to go forward and start the new online business.
The team spent months setting up a state-of-the-art production facility. They purchased industry-leading digital printers and hired and trained staff to run the printing plant.
To ensure only the highest quality products were made in the catalog, the team researched, tested, and developed products for the launch. Rigorous tests were performed on materials, adhesives, and inks before they could be added to the catalog.
The web-to-print model was integral to the company. An entirely new website experience focused strictly on e-commerce customers had to be developed. The site needed to be intuitive and easy to use. We conducted months of beta testing with customers to make sure the new website was consumer-friendly.
Just over 18 months later in 2014, WePrint, the professional printing service arm of Avery was launched. The launch of the new business energized the company and has since been duplicated by Avery worldwide in countries like the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, France, and Italy.
What our online printing service offers
WePrint started with a basic product line including things such as custom sheet labels, name badges, and card products like postcards, business cards, and greeting cards. As we continued to research and learn more about what our customers wanted and needed to help their businesses grow, we developed, tested, and launched even more products and services to meet their needs. And we continue that today.

Our roll labels are a great option for larger quantities. They work with both machine or hand applications, and you can order custom shapes and sizes at no extra cost. WePrint roll labels and stickers also offer more options when it comes to materials and finishes. Things like laser die-cutting, white ink, embellishments, metallics, and other value-add options you can’t print yourself.
Extra-durable industrial labels
Consumers can now also order our custom industrial labels online. Things like our GHS chemical labels, Surface Safe® signs, barcode labels, and asset tags are all available on our industrial website. Our industrial labels and signs are made from heavy-duty materials such as UltraDuty® Film, Durable Film BOPP, and PermaTrack® Film that hold up under the most extreme conditions.
Unique cards, tags, & tickets
We created our custom cards, tags, and tickets to give small businesses the perfect complement to their product branding, packaging, and promotions. Available with extras like scalloped corners, flourish edges, and rounded corners that make your products and announcements pop.

While they aren’t called decals, our custom stickers perform the same way as many decals. Our durable, waterproof vinyl material protects against ink scuffing, tearing, abrasions and extreme temperatures. A strong adhesive prevents lifting and peeling on most flat surfaces. The product is also guaranteed for two years unapplied. Once applied, it is guaranteed for 18 months removability from painted metal, glass and most plastic. Our custom vinyl stickers are die-cut to your shape & size up to 8-1/2 x 11 inches with no setup fees or plate charges. You can order one sticker or thousands.
