Instructions for printing with Blank Roll Labels is very dependent on the make and model of printer being used. Please be sure to refer to your printer manufacturer's website for detailed directions. Avery blank roll labels are only compatible with Inkjet Roll Label Printers. They will not work with standard desktop inkjet or laser printers, or with thermal transfer printers. Below are instructions for three popular makes and models - Epson TM-C3500, Epson TM-C7500G, and Afinia L502
General Printing Tips
- We recommend test printing on a single label to check alignment and print quality before printing additional labels
- Check that the size of your label is set correctly in your print settings (for example, 2" x 4"). If the size is not available, you may need to look for a Custom Size or User Defined setting to change it
- Check that your Scale is set to 100% or Actual Size is selected
- Change the Media Type to Matte or Glossy depending on the label material you are using
- Blank Roll labels are not print-to-the-edge compatible. Make sure that you keep your design within the red-dotted safety area. If you have a background color filling the entire label, it will print with a white border.
- If you notice shifting on the label when it prints, use the Adjust Print Alignment tool in Preview & Print to shift the printing
- If you are printing blank round roll labels, check out our article here for additional recommendations.
