Ask consumer to go to the "Review" ribbon in word and click on "Final Showing Markup", select the down arrow and then click on "Final". The format should go away and you should see the labels in regular template form.

If you downloaded an Avery template from the website and when you type the name and addresses into the labels and they show formatted information to the left of the screen (see sample below)
