The Avery.com and Design & Print servers are secure, and monitored for viruses and malware. However, there are lots of template sites that install unwanted ad servers, toolbars, spyware or even malware. One of the most common ones looks like this:
Be sure to download templates only from avery.com and watch out for unusual ads that can pop up over legitimate websites. To uninstall software, click Control Panel, under Programs click Uninstall or Add or Remove Programs. Find the program's name and click Uninstall, Remove or Change/Remove (depending on the version of Windows you have).
Here are suggestions for staying safe on the internet:
1. Have anti-virus software installed. We prefer not making suggestions on which to use, but only to say that good anti-virus software usually includes anti-virus, spyware removal, web monitoring and a software firewall.
2. Never install or download from unknown web sites. Don’t open emails (or attachments) form people you don’t know.
3. Keep your system up to date with recent Windows or Mac updates/patches.
