This information is about pixels when you add images to projects that you design using Avery Design & Print to print yourself or for WePrint professional printing.
Pixels are the small dots that make up an image. PPI stands for Pixels Per Inch, and is the resolution on a monitor or screen of the device where designs are created. The amount of pixels varies depending on the size of your image.
DPI is Dots Per Inch, this is a measure of how fine the printer's output can be. The higher the number, the more dots the printer can put into an inch, resulting in a clearer print quality.
If you're designing artwork, pay attention to PPI. Both DPI and PPI produce better image quality at higher numbers.
--For You Print we require no less than 200 ppi as a minimum, although 300 is better
--For WePrint we require no less than 300 ppi as a minimum
Avery Design & Print software will warn you if the resolution is too low or too high. Images above 6,000 pixels won't be able to be processed.
Design & Print supports image files such as .png, .jpg, .bmp, .psd, .pdf, .eps, .tiff, .tif, .ai, and .svg.
