Sometimes Design & Print might not do import your data or might not be able to convert the merged project into a pdf for printing.
This sometimes happens when a spreadsheet is too large or contains images or formulas or strange characters (like emojis). Here are some things to try to fix your spreadsheet:
- In your spreadsheet, Copy the contents of the cells you want to merge and use Paste Special then Values to create a new spreadsheet. Save this spreadsheet with a new name and try to merge again.
- Save the file as a .csv to try to simplify it and try your merge again.
- Check your spreadsheet for images and strange characters that might have been copied in.
Design & Print Online typically can handle spreadsheets that are 3,000 rows, 20 columns and up to 600KB. If your spreadsheet won't merge and is close to or over any of these specifications, try splitting it up and creating multiple projects.
Open your spreadsheet in Excel or your other database program. Choose Save as and rename it so First Half is in the new title. Choose Save as again and rename it so Second Half is in the new title. Open the First Half spreadsheet and Delete all the rows from the second half and click Save. Open the Second Half spreadsheet and Delete all the rows from the first half and click Save. Launch a fresh browser session, go to avery.com/dpo8 and try your merge again.
