We have tested our GHS chemical labels with specific cleaners such as 409 and Windex, but with frequent wiping, some cleaning chemicals can cause the print to come off or fade:
- We recommend testing the printed label with your specific cleaning agent. Chemical resistance and durability depend on chemicals used, amount of abrasion or force, and frequency of exposure.
- GHS chemical labels are resistant to cleaning solutions and solvents, but with significant wiping and rubbing, the toner may come off over time.
- We spend much time and effort developing laser printable materials that enhance the adhesion of the toner to the label, but ultimately it is the toner coming in contact with the cleaning solutions that causes these issues.
Avery GHS labels are our most durable labels that you can print yourself using a laser printer. If you need a label with more durability, we recommend our WePrint White Film Sheet Labels which come with a UV coating that protects the printed ink. For even higher durability, our WePrint Rolls can be printed with an overlaminate on the label.
