I can say with some degree of certainty that the average person couldn’t tell you the difference between a sticker and a label. They’re both just sticky paper, right? But in the ten years that I’ve run my own small business, other side hustlers and makers clearly define stickers vs. labels \u2014often without even knowing it. Have you ever been offered a freebie “label” by a vendor at a market? Nope. And I you probably don’t look for “cute label shops” on Etsy when you want to decorate your water bottle. Here’s the simple answer that you may have already guessed, even if you couldn’t quite put your finger on it: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The easiest way to decide is to start with your goal. If you need to communicate information, you’re probably looking for a label. If you want to attract attention or create a memorable experience, you’re probably looking for a sticker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
