Light Fabric Transfers

What is the difference in the Light Fabric transfer vs the Dark Fabric transfer sheets?
I bought Light Fabric pkg #3275 before & not knowing that the t-shirt I would find is actually rich blue and probably considered Dark Fabric.
Is this definitly not going to work to use the Light Fabric transfer in this T-shirt… Store was closed today to exchange for Dark Fabric pkg.. Also half the amount of sheets for same $$ price!!
Thanks
Deb
Hi Deb,
The light transfers turn clear when you apply them, so any white areas in your design will appear blue because your t-shirt color will show through. The light transfers need to be printed as a mirror image, as they are applied face down. Our software will do that automatically for you. Dark transfers are applied face up. You can watch videos on all of these at avery.com/transfers.If you need more help, call our Customer Care Center at 800-942-8379 or use our chat. Hope this helps. Thank you for reading!
The video is too fast and unclear. I am trying to figure out how to mirror my image and I can tell they do this in the video but can’t tell how.
Tina,
We are sorry you had trouble following our light fabric transfer video. In the future, you can click the bottom right to watch on YouTube, then use the gear icon at the bottom to choose the Playback Speed and you can slow down the video. You can also pause and go back if needed. Our Avery Design & Print software will mirror images automatically for Light and Stretchable Fabric Transfers. For more information about mirror images, check out this article.
I am making a quilt. I used to be able to get Fusable transfer paper by the yard. I have the fabric , Now is this used the same way as the by the yard. you cut out what you need iron it onto the back of the piece of fabric, peel it off then Iron the entire piece to the other piece of fabric. Will this work?
Hi Eileen,
Avery iron-on transfers are on 8.5” x 11” sheets. If that will fit your quilt, our t-shirt transfers should work fine. Be sure to follow the application instructions carefully for the best results. Hope this helps.
