Privacy Policy Updates

Effective date: April 27, 2026

We have rewritten and redesigned our Privacy Policy. We made these updates to simplify and streamline the policy, provide you with more information, reflect new U.S. state privacy laws, and support our evolving business practices. We encourage you to read the full document. Below is a summary of key changes.

Updated: Advertising Partners and Your Opt-Out Rights

We have updated our policy to provide greater transparency about the third parties we work with to deliver relevant advertising. Like many companies, Avery works with advertising partners who help us show you personalized content and offers. We have clarified the categories of information involved in these activities and your choices.

Depending on where you live, certain state privacy laws may characterize some of these advertising-related activities — including cross-context behavioral advertising — as the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Consistent with those laws, we provide you the ability to opt out.

You can opt out by clicking “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” on our website, enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, emailing privacy@avery.com, calling (800) 462-8379, or visiting avery.com/about-us/legal/opt-out.

Updated: Information We Derive from Your Activity

We have updated our practices to include deriving inferences — such as your preferences, interests, and characteristics — from your browsing and purchase activity on our platform. We use these inferences to personalize your experience and deliver relevant advertising and content.

Updated: A Clearer Summary of Who We Share Your Information With

We have always disclosed how we share your information with service providers, legal authorities, and business partners. We have now added greater clarity by mapping specific categories of information to each type of recipient, and by adding a new disclosure about our Targeted Advertising Partners. This summary can be found in Section 3.2.6 of the updated policy:

  • Service Providers (e.g., payment processors, fulfillment, technical support, marketing support): Identifiers; commercial information; internet and network activity; demographic information; inferences.
  • Targeted Advertising Partners (e.g., ad networks, marketing analytics): Identifiers; commercial information; contact preference information; demographic information; internet and network activity; inferences.
  • Legal and Government Authorities (where required by law or legal process): Any information relevant to the legal matter.
  • Business Transferees (e.g., in a merger or acquisition): All categories of information Avery holds at the time of the transaction.

New: Privacy Rights for Residents of 19 States

Our updated policy establishes privacy rights for residents of 19 states with active consumer privacy laws, including Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, effective January 1, 2026.

Depending on your state, your rights may include:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and its use for targeted advertising
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
  • Use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf
  • Appeal a decision we make about your privacy request

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@avery.com, call (800) 462-8379, or visit avery.com/about-us/legal/opt-out.
