This is one of my favorite Avery items! I have used these numerous amount of times, in fact I just used them today. We give out small gifts throughout the year to employees and these labels are great because you can put a picture as well as a name and it fits perfectly. The Avery Design & Print online is great for these labels. It allows me to pick a picture from their gallery or from my own pictures and you can add any text & choose font & color. I have so much fun designing my own labels & knowing that I have given them my own special touch makes them that much more special to the employees.

The templates made for these labels are useless for the most part if you are trying to print from edge to edge and need things centered. They would be okay if you were just putting text or a small image on them, but don't count on them being centered. Someone needs to take the time to get these templates set up accurately. After hours of adjusting and readjusting the Word template I finally gave up. I then tried the online version and still wasted about 6 pages and an hour and a half, for something that should have taken minutes, trying to get things "centered" (they weren't centered on the template-they were way off-centered, but they were finally centered when I printed). And yes, I made sure there was no page scaling or anything of that sort when I printed. I believe only the template design is to blame. I would not recommend these to anyone unless they are great at making their own templates or don't care if things are centered!

Trying to make this template work is a waste of time. With as many complaints that I've seen on this template I'm surprised that Avery hasn't fixed it. I normally don't have any problems with templates but this one is awful. I think I have my image sized right and what fits on one label doesn't on the other. The formatting is so off it's ridiculous.

      Template needs tweaking

      By Lexie

      from Georgia

This review is from AVERY Round Label, 20 per sheet:

The Word template for the 8293 labels were close but off by a small amount. I needed it to have a black background but it wasn't covering the full circle. I made sure page was set to 8.5x11. After all the complaints, Avery should have corrected this by now.

I compensated by changing the top margin to 0.72" (instead of 0.75). Turn on gridlines if it isn't on already. I then added a square object (slightly larger than the square gridlines) behind the circles. Go to insert > shape > rectangle. I changed it to black. Then under Drawing Tools > Format I set it to arrange "send to back" and "send behind text". I copied that rectangle and pasted it behind every circle. That gave me some extra print area around each circle to compensate for the slight misalignment of the template.

I downloaded the template and it worked perfectly. I have Word 2016, Windows 10 and a HP Photosmart 6520 printer I used 3 lines in a decorative font and it formatted and aligned perfectly.
I have had difficulty with other Avery templates but this one worked fine.

We love putting these labels on the lids because then you have nothing to mar the look of the jam or jelly. It fits perfectly and we always add a fun cartoon.

This review is from AVERY Round Label, 20 per sheet:

I had trouble getting the formatting right, as did many other users. The best luck I had was using the word document download and scaling the paper to 8.5x11 (a print option on my amazing printer which is an mx922). I wrote the text in the circle, removed it, and added a box with color behind the text to make labels for a wedding party favor (white text on green printed background, looks very good).

Another option we were planning to do was use a punch/stamp and buy sticker paper to punch out, but I like this idea better because the stickers are easier to peel off when precut, just a pain to initially get them to print.
