comments on use

This review is from AVERY Business Card - Wide, 10 per sheet:

The template does unzip and is opened within PS. The guides are there as a layer. You need to paste 10 layers and arrange. A ReadMe helper would be nice. See if this helps:

Make your business card in another document/template using layers.

Select the layers wanted, then used Edit|Copy Merged command, which is pasted into the 10 layers of this template.

You can print with or without guides - remember that.

Not as bad a product as others said

This review is from AVERY Business Card - Wide, 10 per sheet:

Glad I downloaded this template for use in Photoshop (Elements 10). The guides of the template worked well, no problems in downloading. You will want to work in layers, use your alignment tools in Photoshop to align your copy and pasted card design, and turn off the guides before printing. I found it helpful to work on transparent layers with a solid color (white) layer at the very bottom with the guide layer on top. If you want a solid color card, change your solid color layer to the background color of your card and make sure that layer is also active when you print. Again, turn off the guide layer before printing.

that is what it is: Useless. Next to impossible to download, does not work from the screen. Worthless.

Not for borderless business cards

By carddesigner

from Undisclosed

This review is from AVERY Business Card - Wide, 10 per sheet:

I make business card designs, and prefer the borderless option (no white edges). I've never had a single page produce perfect results on every card. Either the top two cards or the bottom two cards always have a white edge at either the top or bottom, respectively. I am using product 28371 which states on the cover "use template 8371"

LIkewise for left and right borders, the print skews a little and I often end up with white borders on the left side, getting wider toward the bottom of the page. This is consistent, and if I adjust the paper so the left doesn't produce a white border, it happens on the right border. I doubt very much it's a printer alignment problem, since all my other prints jobs work out as intended. About half of my cards look the way they were designed, while the other half look very unprofessional.

On the plus side, if your business card uses a lot of white/uncolored space, you can't really tell that the alignment is slightly off.

What a waste of time and money! Downloads an empty zipped file. Save the frustration and sent your files to a professional printer.
