I just used the product to make name tags for the first time. I found the background I chose first to be too dark to be useful. This is for a cruise-themed get together, and the blue was too intense.

I switched to just the cruise ship graphic and no problem there. It was easy to resize and position on the badge. After playing with the program a bit, it was easy to change fonts, sizes and font colors.

I did not have a problem with adding additional sheets of labels and having them line up properly. For a free program, this was pretty decent! Even though I don't use Word on my computer, it was not a problem.

I did find I had to open an account on the site to save my work for later, but that's fine.

As a designer I do NOT ever design anything in Word. To me a template is something I can bring into any program to use a a guide. This should be a eps or pdf file for that purpose. There should be a choice between one of those options and a Word file.
To get around this, I opened the Word "template", selected all, and turned on the "borders-all". Then I printed the file to a PDF and then brought the PDF in to InDesign to design my labels.

Waste of time, paper and money. Do not buy.

By Very unhappy with this so-called templat

from USA

This review is from AVERY Name Badge Label, 8 per sheet:

Avery used to offer templates in useful file formats like Illustrator.

The Word doc is not a template, it won't line up for most of us, and it wastes our time, our money, and our labels.

My recommendation: next time, don't buy Avery.

Can't add another sheet

By BluZebra58

This review is from AVERY Name Badge Label, 8 per sheet:

I have been using Word and Avery for many years. Yet I cannot add a second sheet to this template. I followed the instructions which is to just hit the Enter key. This only adds two labels to a second sheet. Hitting Enter again adds two more labels but they are not aligned. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I can't use this template.
