Was able to download the template and created a template that I can save for future projects. Before saving your template print on a sample test page of your label and then make sure it lines up. Once you have it lined up save sample as template this way all you need to do is open the template and modify what you want on the background & your text on the foreground.

All I want to do is download a Word doc template to print my labels. The online software is terrible so I won't use that anymore. However, when I click on "Download Template" it downloads an .exe file which is not a word document file. Why is it so difficult? Forget it, I'll make my own.

Being able to pick your item number convinced me this just might work out. I then finished up my choice in designs and typed in all the important information (Each Song Title) added the Bold Title of my CD and reviewed my masterpiece. Looked it over and was amazed how easy this was. I then printed my CD, It was perfect. Everything within the lines.

I like the Avery CD labels. I print many for our dvd tutorials and they are of good quality and fit perfectly.

Good, as long as you don't use Word.

Like others said, it's too difficult to use in Word, especially if you want to replicate the items from one label to the next. I convert the template to a PDF and re-open in Adobe Illustrator. Not as easy, but better than the Word or online option. I haven't used printed to the border yet, so I don't know how detailed the alignment is, but so far it's fine.

Awful. Takes FOREVER to open. No formatting or text boxes. POINTLESS. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

This review is from AVERY CD/DVD Labels, 2 per sheet plus 4 spine labels:

From the print your owns on the site, to the "Design & Print" software is just one nightmare after another.

              - They require too many additional downloads
              - Template prints do not match up with the labels like they say it does & you can never get it right.
              - It will probably crash what you try to open it on or just not open at all.
              - The printing pattern is inconsistent. The print will be in one position during the first print then in another place after the second print even if you didn't change anything at all.

Considering how expensive this stuff is you would think these issues would be nonexistent but it's entirely bugged. I will not buy any Avery products ever again.
