How to Use Templates
We have created templates to help you format your Avery products using Microsoft® Word, Adobe® Illustrator®, Adobe® InDesign® and Adobe® Photoshop.

If you do not have any of these programs, use Avery Design & Print Online.

After you download your Avery template, be sure to remember where you saved the file on your computer and the file name.

Open Microsoft® Word or an Adobe® program for your template and select File > Open to navigate to the drive and folder to open your template.

Use the program’s formatting and printing features to edit and save your template.

Get Adobe Flash player

Tip: For Microsoft® Word users – If the template looks like a blank page, select Table > Show Gridlines to view the template layout. For detailed instructions on Microsoft® Word templates, click here.

Thank you for using Avery templates!

Products are great, should be able to order quickly, If I find something on 1 page, I get lost if trying to get back to it after looking for the appropriate template. Why isn't there an easy direct link? Why do I have to spend time wandering around?
The whole experience makes me not want to shop on your site.
Sorry.

The templates NEED to be provided in PDF format, not just Word! I design labels in Illustrator or InDesign, so a Word template is absolutely no help to me. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one designing in other programs that could make good use of a PDF version. Who designs anything in Word, anyways? Word is just for word processing, not design, so why in the world would templates for design only be provided for Word? I would personally never buy Avery labels because I know the templates are only in Word, but I have coworkers bringing me Avery labels. I roll my eyes after they leave my cubicle, then I am forced to create my own work-around just so I can make use of the labels. Rant over. In summary: please, please, PLEASE provide templates in PDF! My coworkers will not stop bringing me Avery labels!

This template is way off. Some of the labels print perfectly fine, but other ones are skewed by 1/4" or more in multiple directions, which means that the design gets cut off. I wasted a sheet of sticker paper figuring this out. Pretty big bummer when you waste 12 stickers out of the 60 total, but the biggest hassle is that now I'm going to have to tweak the images in the template by hand. I could have saved myself the time and skipped the template and just designed my own. I'll definitely use these labels again, just without the template and make my own.

Why do your templates no longer match your forms????

      By John

      from Greenville, NC

This review is from AVERY How to Use Templates:

A couple of years back I used your template with your oval labels and things worked perfectly. Today I go to use the exact same template I had saved on my computer and it doesn't match your form. The only thing that has changed is my version of MS Word. But you should accommodate that. What the heck is going on?? I am trying to finish an ancestry book and now I can't get labels to match. I agree with other posters - you guys have really screwed things up. You apparently don't test your template with standard word processing software.
