How to Use Templates
We have created templates to help you format your Avery products using Microsoft® Word, Adobe® Illustrator®, Adobe® InDesign® and Adobe® Photoshop.

If you do not have any of these programs, use Avery Design & Print Online.

After you download your Avery template, be sure to remember where you saved the file on your computer and the file name.

Open Microsoft® Word or an Adobe® program for your template and select File > Open to navigate to the drive and folder to open your template.

Use the program’s formatting and printing features to edit and save your template.

Get Adobe Flash player

Tip: For Microsoft® Word users – If the template looks like a blank page, select Table > Show Gridlines to view the template layout. For detailed instructions on Microsoft® Word templates, click here.

Thank you for using Avery templates!

Products are great, should be able to order quickly, If I find something on 1 page, I get lost if trying to get back to it after looking for the appropriate template. Why isn't there an easy direct link? Why do I have to spend time wandering around?
The whole experience makes me not want to shop on your site.
Sorry.

The templates NEED to be provided in PDF format, not just Word! I design labels in Illustrator or InDesign, so a Word template is absolutely no help to me. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one designing in other programs that could make good use of a PDF version. Who designs anything in Word, anyways? Word is just for word processing, not design, so why in the world would templates for design only be provided for Word? I would personally never buy Avery labels because I know the templates are only in Word, but I have coworkers bringing me Avery labels. I roll my eyes after they leave my cubicle, then I am forced to create my own work-around just so I can make use of the labels. Rant over. In summary: please, please, PLEASE provide templates in PDF! My coworkers will not stop bringing me Avery labels!

I've used Avery templates and the design and print online software to create name labels for company picnics/events for years. I appreciated the quality and ease in making a large quanity of labels in minutes. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The labels that used to print in line and corectly are entirely off and next to impossible to line up to your personal printers specifications. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable and quick to learn with techy/editing software, but this is just too difficult to use.

Maybe is because I'm a Mac user, maybe because I'm an actual designer, but I had to stop trying to download simple template from your site and had to create one from scratch.

I already bought your product, I don't want you having my email to download anything, make it easier not harder, .pdf will probably solve the issues KEEP IT SIMPLE!!! we are at work dealing with deadlines and looking for companies like yours to make our life easier GET TO IT

          Don't Print to Size!!

This review is from AVERY How to Use Templates:

I loved the design I created for my labels but when it comes to printing them, they print in a much smaller size than they are listed. I am so frustrated that I cannot get them to print correctly. Close to giving up!
