Love this Ready Index product!! I had no problems downloading the Avery 11129 template, except the default was to save it as a picture; I opted to save it as a document and crossed my fingers. When I opened my Word 2010, it was there under the saved name I had given it. It was relatively easy to use. The template wanted to center everything, but I was able to left-justify my index after I finished typing it. I couldn't get it to go to the next available line by using the tab button on my keyboard. I could get it to change lines by clicking my mouse on the next line. I tried printing the finished index onto a blank piece of paper, first, as I had to learn which direction to insert the blank Avery index into my printer. I then made a few color-copies of the blank Avery index and printed my template index onto one of the color-copies. Everything looked correct, so I held my breath and printed onto the original blank index. Voila! Beautiful! Thanks, Avery!

I can't be the only one that need to modify my table of contents from time to time, am I?? If not, just a FYI...avery does let you have a templete to change the table of contents but unfortunately it is not in color so the color coding that I paid for goes right out the window. I really wish i knew that I couldn't replace the table of contents in color before I spent my money on this product.

Revision of indexes is common. Having the template color coded to match the tabs would be a HUGE plus not just for this template but for all such Ready Index templates.

      Simple to use, slick product!

I'm using Windows XP Pro (32 bit) with MS Word 2007, and I'm honestly not sure why so many people are having trouble. For starters, scan a high resolution color copy of the one 600088 sheet, because that's all you get. So if you're like me and need to change the index, you have a copy that you can retrieve. The download from Avery is a document template that formats perfectly with the given sheet. But first, print out your work on a plain sheet of paper and just hold up the two sheets in front of a window or artificial light to compare the alignment and make adjustments if necessary. Luckily I did not have to make any. My printer is an HP C3180 all in one printer-scanner.

I'm pleased to report that I did not have the same trouble with this template that other reviewers did.

My only issue (which was really small) is that at first when I downloaded it, the Word document came up blank. I downloaded it about three times and was about to post a question, when I noticed a pop up box that said my macros were enabled (whatever that means).

There was an option to disable them for the current content, so I did and VOILA!

Another box popped up for me to type my names in. I really liked putting the names in the boxes rather than writing on the actual table because I didn't have to worry about missing a line or the font. It let me just copy paste my student names.

I put the paper in face down and it printed out perfectly the first time. I was pleased that I didn't have to print a test sheet and hold it up against the light in order to see if the list was lining up to the template.

I use a PC and I have Windows Vista (i guess that means I have MS Word 7) so maybe that's why this template seems to have worked a lot better for me than the other reviewers.

      Keeps me organized, but...

I actually don't use this for the days of the month. It makes things easy for me to find when they are filed in binders now.

I find it frustrating that the index sheet is not reusable. I end up using the template on blank paper until I fill the binder with all 31 sections. It would be better if you could actually print out the index sheet in full color so you can modify it and always match the tabs.
