I was in the process of upgrading my printer, I decided to go and find a printer that would not only support windows 10, but also print on the new printable CD/DVD's.

After purchasing The Epson XP-820 ALL-IN-ONE Printer earlier last year, I finally was able to try out the return address labels that had already been saved by my Microsoft Word 2013.

After an hour of no success on trying everything that I could to get this printer to print the Avery 8167 template, I decided to call the Avery Tech Support. After talking to someone who knew very little English and being patient with him putting me on hold every couple of minutes, he finally comes back on the phone and gives me a bogus answer that some of these printers MIGHT NOT SUPPORT printing out templates.

So, After going to Avery.com and finding that I'm able to Download Generic Templates and then after copying and pasting ALL cells from the address label 8167 to the compatible template, everything worked wonderful.

I have a Win10 computer and use Office 365. I cannot get rid of this horrible software without doing a clean restore of Win8.1 first. I am serious. This is the worst thing in the non-virus category that I have ever made the mistake of downloading. It will not work unless I choose to force my computer to accept a Win7 clean install.

Work around for filling labels down

By Debi

from St. Paul, Mn

This review is from Avery Wizard for Microsoft® Office:

I found this work around on the website. It worked beautifully.

Start the mail merge and let Word generate the label table. Write down
the width of the label cells and the width of the small cells that
Word uses to separate the columns of labels. Count the number of label
columns, select all the rows, and use Table | Insert Rows once for
each column of labels after the first. For example, Avery 5260 has ten
rows and three columns, so you would select all ten rows and use
Insert Rows twice, giving 30 rows of three columns.

The next step is to select all columns (including the little spacer
columns) except the first label column, and use Table | Delete
Columns. For the example we would now have 30 rows in one column.

Now invoke Format | Columns. Set the number of columns to be the
number of columns on the label sheet, set the column width equal to
the table cell width, and set the space between columns equal to the
width of the original spacer columns. For the example, we would have
three columns, the column width would be 2.625" and the space between
columns would be 0.125".

You now have a label setup that will order records down then across.
You can now continue with the merge.

Cannot uninstall???

Pros

    Cons

    • Cannot Uninstall
    • Doesn't Work Anymore

    Best Uses

This review is from Avery Wizard for Microsoft® Office:

I tried calling and using chat.No one know how to uninstall it from my computer. They said: "Unfortunately, Avery does not know how to uninstall the Avery Wizard from Microsoft word 2016. The program is not compatible with word 2016, so there is not any support or assistance on how to uninstall the Avery Wizard program from Microsoft Word 2016."

It creates error messages everytime I open word now. It used to work great. It was the coolest program. Then they decided to discontinue making the program work and now they don't know how to get it off my computer.
