Five Super School Memory Book Ideas
School days come, and school days go. Before another school year goes by, get ready to capture your children’s precious school memories in a personal memory book! You can spotlight all their special moments through pictures, personal notes and embellishments throughout the year. And not only will you and your family enjoy putting it together, you’ll have a lasting keepsake to enjoy for years to come.

Gear up for the upcoming school year with these ideas to help make your memory book extra-special:

1) Class photos

Whether it’s those baby-faced looks from your pre-school child, the gap-toothed grin from your child in elementary school, or that youthfully serious pose from your high-schooler, you’ll enjoy looking back at these school portraits time and time again.

Extra credit: Add classroom snapshots of your child with his/her teachers, at show-and-tell, or gathered together with playground buddies. You can also create personalized stickers with Avery Sticker Project Paper to accent your memory book pages. The repositionable sticker paper is acid and lignin free, keeping your pictures preserved for a long time.

2) Sports & hobbies

Some days are like a big blur as you shuttle your kids back and forth to soccer practice, scout meetings and piano lessons. But when you put photos of these events into your memory book, you’ll clearly see how priceless these moments can be.

Extra credit: Embellish these pages with newspaper clippings of your child’s sport matches, images of the badges they’ve earned, or a copy of their piano music, and glue them on with the photo-safe Avery Permanent Glue Stic.

3) Creative expressions

Got a little Picasso in your family? Or an up-and-coming Steinbeck? Spotlight your child’s creations with pages devoted to their artwork and stories—or even their tiny handprints.

Extra credit: Showcase each work of art with a caption. You might include a title of their masterpiece, the date it was created, or perhaps a special quote from the “artist.” With Avery Sticker Project Paper, it’s easy to add a personal touch to any page with decorative borders, stickers and photos.

4) Friends

Your child’s group of friends have a unique and special bond. Commemorate their friendship with pages filled with pictures of their get-togethers—from camping trips and car washes to slumber parties and pool parties.

Extra credit: Add personal tokens such as ticket stubs to events they’ve attended, dried flowers from outings, and other mementos that lie flat on the page. Bring your pages to life with personal messages printed on Avery Sticker Project Paper. An inspirational quote, funny thoughts or words of wisdom from a parent or grandparent can brighten any page.

5) Graduation

When your child graduates from school and receives his/her diploma, it’s an event you’ll always want to remember. Celebrate the graduate in your family with memory book pages dedicated to this big achievement with photos of the ceremony and party.

Extra credit: Scan the diploma and scale it down to make miniature stickers with Avery Sticker Project Paper. Other items you can include are excerpts from the commencement program, pieces of confetti, and heartfelt congratulations from friends and family. Decorate the pages using school colors.

As you build your memory book, why not make it even more memorable with a one-of-a-kind, custom-printed binder you create yourself? You can design your own full-color, photo-quality Avery Signature Binder online in three easy steps and give your binder that personal touch from cover to cover by adding your child’s name, school year and your own photos. Complete your book with nice and neat dividers to organize the sections inside. You can create your own custom dividers in a snap with Avery Index Maker® Clear Tab Dividers, and be able to flip to your favorite sections with ease.

You and your whole family will enjoy creating this special keepsake of school memories for the upcoming school year and all the years to come. Start a new memory book for your child each school year, and over time you’ll have a library of cherished memories to be passed on from generation to generation.
