We hold a two family yard sale every year and always use the mentioned stickers. For clothing, we stick the sticker on the size tag. It's the first place the shopper looks if they are interested in the item, so it makes perfect sense. And the tags come off a lot easier. Place the sticker on the bottom of your decorations and there's no need to worry about residue.
When we sell items, we pull off the tags and stick them to a note pad. Once side for one family and their designated color and the other side for the other family and their color. As the pages fill up, so does your cash box!
Our only issue has been that the tags get very sticky and hard to remove in hot or rainy weather.
