I needed something close to this size, and this label was the only one I could find locally (at major big box office supply). Unfortunately, the opnline print template didn't work for me.

If you have these and are frustrated with printing, try using these dimesions to add a custom label in your Word 'envelopes and labels tool'. Instead of avery, select label vendor 'other/custom.' I created a 'new label' using these 'details:' Top Margin=.5", Side Margin=.43", Vertical pitch=.56", Horizontal pitch=.8", label height=.5", label width=.75", nuymber across=4, number down=9, page size=custom page width=4", page height=6"

I thought I'd share in case anyone has the same issue, to save them the tedious measuring/trial and error process.

FYI, I concluded that the online printing template doesn't work for me because I have no way to deselect 'page scaling' as instructed when the template tool creates the pdf. Good luck to you!

I wanted to find a label that wouldn't leave a sticky residue when I tried to remove it from glass after a period of up to a year. This label doesn't leave a noticeable residue, but it often will not stay adhered to a glass surface for longer than a month or two before it falls off. I've tried using it on various glass surfaces, all clean, and the results are pretty much the same: the labels sometimes start to fall off after 1-2 months. Not all of the labels will fall off, but most do. The labels are good quality and the template provided online was easy to use, but I'm disappointed they don't stay adhered for a longer period of time.

Make a template with WordPerfect

By Alan

from Vermont

See all my reviews

This review is from Multi-Purpose Labels 5412:

Avery evidently doesn't have a Template. When I asked why, they told me the label is designed for hand writing, but I wanted to type content on it, so here are settings I used successfully on WordPerfect X5

Label Size
Width .5
Height .313

Labels per page
Columns 10
Rows 10

Top left label
Top edge .125
Left edge .2

Space Between Labels
Columns .063
Rows .063

Label Margains
All at .05

I taped the 4x6 label with 6" edge along the top of a letter size sheet to make certain it fed straight thru my Canon ink-jet printer, and successfully printed the labels.

There is no template to print this --- How about it, Avery --- Perhaps you hand write on them but some people want to print words on these labels.

This review is from Removable Multipurpose Labels 6464:

I use these labels to print bookplates for a library I am building for my grandchildren (over 100 books so far!). I used the Avery bookplate initial template to customize the bookplates. The bookplate helps to ensure the book will be returned to Gram's library, not the school or the public library! The labels can be easily removed. I have on occasion removed a label from one book and affixed it in another book.
