How to Customize Your Project in the Design & Print App for Tablets (Importing Data / Mail Merge)

To import data from your device’s contact list, select a destination text box and tap the Start Mail Merge button in the tools palette.




Tap the Contacts button.




Select the appropriate rows and columns of data to import and tap the Next button.




Arrange the data fields to be included in your project by dragging them from left to right. When done, tap the Complete Merge button.




Tip: Fields may be arranged in sequence on the same line or on different lines. Ensure that the field order is correct before completing this step because it cannot be changed without re-performing the merge.




Tip: Adding text or other characters (e.g. commas and spaces) around merge fields can be done on the design canvas once the merge is complete. To do so, double-tap the text box where you would like to insert text and type it into the text editor. Please note that merged contact information is not editable on the design canvas and will not display in the text editor.
