How to Apply a Design on Any Avery Product from a Gallery

Our Design & Print Online template galleries make it easy for you to just select a design to customize and print your Avery products. Then—what now? —we went ahead and made things even easier. This shortcut shows you how to apply any design from our template galleries to another Avery product without having to recreate it.

If you’ve already created a project and want to apply your design to another Avery product, click from one of the three options provided on the Preview & Print screen, or choose theOther products link. You’ll be taken to the first step in Avery Design & Print Online (See step 3, below).

1. Select a design

Scroll through the design themes in the template gallery to find the design you like.

2. Find the shape that best matches your product

If the product you wish to print on is not listed, choose the design template shown that most closely matches the product you have based on shape, such as round, square or rectangular. The types of shapes vary, so look for similarities. For example, if you see the design for a round label that’s a different size from the product you have, choose that as your closest match. Or, if you are looking for a boxy design for business cards, choose the square or rectangular shape that matches best.

3. Enter your product

Next, you’ll see the first step in Avery Design & Print Online. Enter your product number, or choose the product from the menu on the left.

4. Customize your template

You’ll see a close-up of your design template. You can keep it the way it is and enter your content, or you can change it.

To change the existing graphic, click on the design to select it. Use the menu on the left to select another shape, or add an image from the Avery Gallery or from your own file.

To customize the text, click to select the text area and type in your text. Use the menu on the left to change font, font size, color, and/or add additional text boxes.

5. Edit one or edit all

The sheet navigator to the right of your canvas makes it easy for you to designate the changes you wish to apply to your product sheet.

To apply changes to your design so it appears across the items (labels, cards or tags) on the product sheet, use the Edit All function. The design on your main canvas will be implemented on all the items on the sheet. To make changes to individual items, use the Edit One function, and select the item you wish to change by highlighting it in the sheet navigator. The design on your main canvas will only be applied to the designated item highlighted in the sheet navigator.

6. Preview and print

Click the Preview & Print button (in the upper-right of your screen) to review your design. To make adjustments, just click the Back button. When you are satisfied with your design, click the Print button.

7. Save your project

To save your design, click the Save button. In the pop-up window, create a file name and save to either your MyAvery Online Account or computer.
