Avery Easy Peel Labels

Removing labels is easier than ever with the new Avery Easy Peel Feature.

See the instructions below for tips on using the new Easy Peel Feature. Or if you do not want to separate the sheet into columns, simply peel the labels as you normally would.

Watch our demo of the Easy Peel Labels.

Avery Inkjet Labels

  • Before you print onto a label sheet, first print onto a blank piece of paper. Place the printed sheet in front of a label sheet and then hold the sheets up to a light to make sure the positioning is correct.
  • Refer to your printer manual for loading and feeding recommendations. Many printers have special instructions for loading labels.
  • Fan the label sheets before loading them into the paper tray. Do not bend the corners.
  • For easier feeding in most printers, place label sheets in the paper tray on top of 25 sheets of plain paper.
  • Adjust the paper width lever so that it barely touches the edge of the label stack and the labels don't buckle.
  • For best results, let ink on the product dry completely before removing labels from the sheet.
  • Store unused label sheets flat in the original box in a cool, dry place.
  • Sheets of inkjet labels can be passed through an inkjet printer only once; the tight paper path of an inkjet printer can cause the label to curl on multiple passes through the printer. This could cause the label to jam or peel off inside the printer, resulting in an expensive repair bill. The Avery guarantee of jam-free performance extends only to sheets of labels that have been fed through an inkjet printer a single time.
  • Only labels designed for an inkjet printer should be used with inkjet printers. Manual, copier and laser labels will not feed through consistently and may damage inkjet printers.
  • Avery Fluorescent and Pastel Color Laser Labels are not recommended for inkjet printers.
  • For trouble-free label printing, have your printer thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Name Badge Labels are designed for most fabrics except leather, suede, silk, plastic, velvet, corduroy, vinyl, and lamé.

  • Most laser products are designed to work in laser printers when printed directly from the automatic-feed tray.
  • Refer to your printer manual for loading and feeding recommendations. Many printers have special instructions regarding the direction in which you should load sheets.
  • Sheets of laser labels can be passed through a laser printer only once because the heat of the printer causes the adhesive to soften. If a sheet of labels is passed through the printer a second time, the adhesive could ooze and adhere to the inner workings of the printer, causing the labels to jam or peel off. Avery's guarantee of jam-free performance extends only to sheets of labels that have been fed through a laser printer a single time.

I thought I was using Avery Online the same way I would use their templates in MS Word. I have had nothing but problems, I have to enter a text box for every SINGLE label, and if you have to go back and edit everything, FORGET IT, it is a nightmare. I recently created 3 pages of address labels (#5160); after reviewing them with my boss, she wanted to make changes to each label. In theory it should not be difficult, right? Right... WRONG. I'm not sure I would recommend this website for anyone, beginner or not.

WHAT HAPPENED??

By Sue

from Finksburg MD

This review is from AVERY Labels Formatting and Printing Tips:

Come on, Avery! Get it together. I also have used the templates for years without problems, now the labels print off kilter. I have wasted ink by trying to "nudge" the print job using Avery tools, but it either doesn't work or goes too far.
There is an instruction that states to "uncheck fit to page" that I have always used; however, for some reason that option in no longer available on my printer dialogue box (HP).
Not sure if that is the problem, but I should still be able to align the printing without wasting labels.

This review is from AVERY Labels Formatting and Printing Tips:

The first time I used the templates they worked great. The last few times I've tried, the templates are way off. Following the product code and template codes they provided, I've wasted a third of each label sheet due to their product error. Maybe that's what they are going for....to get us to buy more product. Well, my next set of labels will NOT be an Avery product!

Clear Ink Jet Labels NOT working!

      By Debbie D.

      from Orlando, FL

This review is from AVERY Labels Formatting and Printing Tips:

Have used many different Avery products and always had great results. Bought 8660 Clear address labels for banquet invitations. Wasted 5 sheets just trying to get one that is readable. No matter what setting I use (draft, glossy paper, changed to thin fonts)all come out very blurry and much different that sample on plain paper. Pkg says 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed, but I can find no info on the website or package on how to get a refund. Very unhappy as we will have to go back to white labels for our banquet invitations.

      Labels do not match up!

      By Cakediva

      from Hornell, NY

This review is from AVERY Labels Formatting and Printing Tips:

Labels do not match the template when printed out. Gives you an option to move in one direction, but the template does not even come close to the actual page of labels when printed. Would have to move each label individually in different directions!

Get your templates fixed. I have purchased your products in the past and had much success with them.
You seemed to have dropped the ball on #41461. ???
I'm getting half of my page vertically and it still isn't lining up with the labels, so not only have I wasted money on your product, I have wasted much ink!
It would also be appreciated if your customer service was responsive.
        Have a nice day!
