With the right software

This review is from Avery Tickets with Tear-Away Stubs:

These were purchased before by an organization I work with. They were great for the purpose, but getting everything to line up was tough, and the numbering wasn't up to snuff. However, that was before I worked with them. I'm a technically savvy person. I have many labeling and design softwares with programmable functions that allow me to set dimensions and alignment, along with the proper knowledge of how to use WORD, or Google Docs, to place an increasing number (though it takes some programming and some searching for code when you want a specific type of numbering beyond standard decimal in either one). Using some design software, I was able to get great raffle tickets out of it. By creating an excel doc with the numbering system I wanted and programming an entire row or column, I was able to have the software pull the values from each cell and place them on each ticket. I repeated this with more information like names, phone numbers. Containing them all in the document allowed me to pull all the required information into these and print out tickets that worked for entry and raffle games at the events. That's an added value that cuts half the cost of printing out tickets. Those who want to increase chances and their charity always purchase more of these, with only one change to the design, noting that it isn't for entry, or that it's only for a specific raffle they don't need to be there for if they have young children and need to leave early. Get the right software. We've doubled the charitable donations we give to various causes, and increased seating due to the ease of providing chance games at the door. If you are not technologically savvy, remember these titles: Print Explosion Deluxe, BeLight Labels and Addresses, BeLight Business Card Composer. Here's the rub: You'll have to learn how to size and align a template for yourself. You may even want to go so far as to find the pre-loaded templates and try to view them in a text editor. If you can compare the sizing values to what the template tells the software, you can duplicate a pre-made template, then adjust the values and name the template for use in the software (most of the time, when you place your templates in the same folder with the same file extension, it will get loaded with all the others wen you reopen the program). It's that simple. I'm not advocating you go and start tweaking your programs. You may want to get that geek kid down the block to do it for you.

Easy to do but...

Cons

This review is from Avery Tickets with Tear-Away Stubs:

I love the practicality and presentation of these tickets. I have used them for ballots and also for raffle tickets. However, if you need to create your own, there should be more helpful guidelines for sizing of the fonts. Otherwise, the wording comes out way too small, creating a possible waste of needed tickets or purchasing more... an added expense.

    What Happened to the Numbers?

    By Bus Driver

    from St. Paul, MN

This review is from Avery Tickets with Tear-Away Stubs:

I've purchased Avery raffle tickets for years. What happened to the version with NUMBERS? These are no longer pre-numbered, making it a huge, huge, huge pain in the patootie for validations.

Easy to setup and look great. But I agree with several other posters that the numbering does not work. After using chat, I tried a different browser, verified that Adobe was current, and tried downloading the program but many of the numbers were duplicated.

      Sequential Numbering

This review is from Avery Tickets with Tear-Away Stubs:

I wanted to do my own tickets for my event because the print shop charged way too much for 100 in color. I went to Avery because I have used their templates before and never had a problem until now. My problem arose when I tried to do sequential numbering. No matter what I did, it put the number in the place I did not want it. There was already a field that said "ticket number" with a number on the end of it, I wanted to keep it that way but when I tried, the program did not change the number on the end, it put a bold number over it going in the wrong direction. The online chat person told me that I had to download the program to work offline and that should solve the issue, it didn't. When I tried to download the work offline program, it wouldn't download. Totally frustrated with this template program at this point and I still do not have the tickets I need.
