I am no "wizzard" when it comes to making my own labels, but Avery makes me look professional with the easy-to-use wizzard that works right from my Word program! It's all there to help create your own personal label from fonts to font color and even adding word art. Because it's specific to what is needed to create lables, it's not overwhelming to learn. And there are tips along the way to help even more. I used to pay someone to make labels for me but not anymore! I can do it right at home and they look like I paid a fortune for them! Because it's easy to learn, I've been able to help others save money by recommending they use the Avery labels & wizzard too.

I just wanted a simple template to print labels, and I spent 45 minutes signing up for an account, typing in my business info three times, all to get some strange program installed onto my computer. Also, to fill out a comment on the product, you have to type in the same information.

I just want a simple template file so that I could create basic file labels.

This review is from Avery Wizard for Microsoft® Office:

I needed to print some Avery clear tab labels that I bought years ago. I couldn't find the template I originally downloaded.

I went to the site and the way they distribute their templates has changed. Avery used to offer just the templates for download. You could open them Word, and they worked perfectly.

You can't do that anymore. Atleast not for the product I have. They only way to get the template was to download either their "Avery bar" freeware or the Microsoft wizard. I chose the wizard. It consistantly crashed Word and my computer.

I am disappointed and will just buy a competitor that will let me download a template without a wizard or bloatware.

      Don't Bother

This review is from Avery Wizard for Microsoft® Office:

I jest spent an hour trying to install the Avery Software for Microsoft Office. I finally was able to install but when I went to use the software I found it to be the biggest waster of my time. I just wanted to use the 5195 label to label the colors of several piece of leather lace. I lost all ability to use the functionality of Word 2013. I could not format the various cells or use any of the tools normally available in MS Word. It locked me out. This is my second attempt to write a review. The first attempt went off into LA-LA land like the programers of the Avery software. I've been using PC's,and Mac's since the early 1980's. I'm not a novice

I design my own artwork but my graphics program does not print in a label format. I have attempted using the Avery wizard many different times w/ Word. I HATE IT! It freezes Word sometimes. The screen is so tiny I can't see my work well. It's terrible at coping over, or importing custom artwork. It often does not actually line up w/ the labels, even after all of the fine adjustments. I've tried this on multiple computers, with multiple printers, w/ varying labels. Always the same problems.

I've used Avery labels for many years--with no difficulty. It was with an earlier version of Windows and, obviously, an earlier version of your software....I've wasted and entire afternoon and accomplished NOTHING.

What happened to simplicity? Couldn't get my older version for Word to work so downloaded Design Print. What a mess! Spent 2 hours with it and no luck. Never could figure out how to print a single label or different labels on the same sheet. Gave up and now looking for another label making product after 15+ years of Avery.
Suggest upgrading of older version to work in all versions of Word, from Word 97 up.
