The trick to making a page of different labels involves an extra step. Once you have your label type selected and you think everything is ready to go, click on 'New Document' and word creates a page showing all the labels. You can enter your data for each label and then print the page!

I followed every step, but when I get to the step for applying the template to my document by selecting ok, nothing happens. Also, I only have the choice to print one label or a full sheet of the same label. I'd like to be able to have individual text on each label in a sheet.

I used Avery for years and now nothing lines up. This is such basic wordprocessing, worked better in 1990

      NEW is NOT BETTER

      By Wyckette

This review is from Finding Avery Templates Built-in to Microsoft Word:

I've tried and this new approach by Avery reminds me of a lazy student who tried to pass off last year's book report. It just does not work. Would I recommend the product - sure if you just need a label. But if you are trying to accomplish something with graphics or a unique approach to your business labels - forget it.

What have you done? This is awful. Way too confusing. Can't use. The other version that I used for years was so easy.

This review is from Finding Avery Templates Built-in to Microsoft Word:

Compared with previous version in which I downloaded Avery templates into Word, was able to utilize a very effective wizard, and had choices of font and size, spacing, layout, printing from lists, etc. this imbed is very marginal. The instructions work, but the product is poor. I would prefer to go back to the old approach or just a completely separate set of Avery wizards.

CORRECT template instructions - current versions of Word

              By Office Maven

              from The Midwest

This review is from Finding Avery Templates Built-in to Microsoft Word:

To design your own mailing labels within more recent versions of Word (works in Word 2013, etc.):

              -Start Microsoft Word.
              -Click the New Document button.
-Choose the Mailings tab, then select Envelopes and Labels.
-Select Options, then select "Avery US Letter"
-Choose the Product Number for the labels you want to create and then click OK.
Now, this is what brings it up as the document:
              -Click "New Document".

Why Avery.com has chosen to not include correct instructions when it is obvious by the many reviews I cannot imagine. Extremely poor customer service in this aspect.

Avery, PLEASE update your website to have correct instructions across the different platforms. Some of us make hundreds, if not thousands, of labels per year and it is discouraging to have to get CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR COMPETITOR's website.
